FAQ

FAQ iconQ: Can Israel be protected from genocide if it is committing genocide in Gaza? We answer this question first out of necessity because uninformed people will ask it.
A: Israel is not committing genocide in Gaza. Self-defense is not genocide. Military response is not genocide, even if civilian deaths occur due to the deliberate actions of Hamas in creating an entire territory of terror attack tunnels and involving non-combatants. Military preemption is not genocide; it has been a justified act since the sixteenth century. Proportionality is based not on numbers but on the force required to achieve the just military objective. The falsehoods and exhortations about genocide committed by Israel mimic the efforts of Goebbels and Streicher  to create a myth of evil as a justification for genocide against innocents.

Q. What’s this for?
A: Providing resources for everyone who witnesses or experiences an act prohibited by genocide laws, including chants of “From the River to the Sea,” campus threats and harassment, and actions by BDS proponents, and wishes to report it. We are fighting back against the rising tide of antisemitism around the world.

Q: What if I want to suggest or request additions to the items of interest, laws, and/or reporting mechanisms for countries not already listed?
A: Please go to the contacts page and drop a note to “suggestions.” If you’re suggesting an addition to the reporting page, it would be most helpful if you could include links to the applicable national law(s) and contact info for the parties responsible for accepting and acting on reports.
